A male pedestrian was killed overnight after being struck by a vehicle in Northern Westchester.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 in Buchanan on Albany Post Road (Route 9A) between the railroad bridge and Bleakley Avenue near the Peekskill border.

Officers from the Buchanan and Westchester County police departments, along with MTA Police, responded.

The southbound lanes of Route 9A were closed during the investigation.
